BOARD POLICY


The Maintenance Supervisor is directly responsible to the Assistant Administrator/Operations for the maintenance and care of all the schools in the district. Total responsibility shall include, but not be limited to, the following:


GUIDELINES


  1. Responsible for all refurbishing, remodeling, repairs, plumbing, electrical, roofing, glazing, painting, landscaping, grounds work, and all other assignments and responsibilities related to buildings and grounds.
  2. Responsible for the repair and maintenance of equipment in each building.
  3. Work with principals to schedule activities in each building.
  4. Work with the Administrative Assistant and Superintendent on maintenance needs.
  5. Due to emergency conditions the Maintenance Supervisor may need to rearrange his hours to meet the needs of an emergency situation.
  6. Supervision and training of district custodians and maintenance personnel.
  7. Meet established district goals.
  8. Develop high morale, satisfaction with the job, and a desire to meet goals -- with the employees.
  9. Work with custodians to set and meet realistic long-range goals and establish schedules.
  10. Maintain clean and neat-looking schools and grounds.
  11. Develop effective communication and feed-back with district office personnel, principals, custodians, and others.
  12. Decrease maintenance costs.
  13. Maintain good public relations.
  14. Perform related duties as required.
