Subject: Transportation Supervisor

BOARD POLICY

The Transportation Supervisor is directly responsible to the Superintendent or to the Assistant Administrator assigned. Total responsibility shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

GUIDELINES

1. Be in charge of the district transportation system.
2. Coordinate the scheduling and routing of all bus runs.
3. Conduct regularly scheduled maintenance on all district vehicles.
4. Work in cooperation with the state specialist for transportation in scheduling, training as prescribed by state law for bus drivers.
5. Coordinate the scheduling of all field trip requests as directed.
6. Recommend the purchase of new equipment.
7. Recommend to the Superintendent those to be employed as bus drivers.
8. Assist in obtaining information and data for completing all state transportation reports.
9. Assist in completing all state transportation reports and submit them to the Superintendent.
10. Perform related duties as required.
