BOARD POLICY
The North Sanpete School District Board of Education values the work and contribution of social workers hired to work in North Sanpete School District schools. The Board seeks to ensure that school social workers are equipped with the appropriate training, expertise, and experience. In accordance with Utah State standards and regulations, requirements are established for ensuring that school social workers hired to work in North Sanpete School District have demonstrated competence in social work practice as well as understanding the teaching / learning environment and the role and function of a school social worker. The Board directs the Superintendent or designee to develop procedures for ensuring that school social workers in the district are properly licensed and trained.

ADMINISTRATIVE NOTE: Policy IV-13 was originally titled Assignment of Personnel and was adopted by the Board on 12/16/1982. The policy was rolled into Policy IV-17, titled Transfer of Employees, on 5/17/2016. This policy number was vacated and subsequently reutilized with the current title of Social Workers Policy on 7/16/2019.
