BOARD POLICY
As policy makers for school districts, board members have the responsibility for becoming informed and continuing to remain informed concerning all aspects of the governance of public education. Therefore, it is the policy of this district that board members become familiar with educational materials provided by their executive officer, by state and national school board associations, by the State Board of Education, and by other appropriate agencies. They are also encouraged to attend annually, at district expense, the USBA Convention and the National School Boards Convention. Attendance at other in-service education meetings may be approved, by the Board, when requests are submitted in advance.
