Dear Parents,

The first couple of weeks of school are always the most exciting and refreshing, but as the weeks move forward, we see students getting a bit tired and the challenges of learning begin to emerge.

This is normal and not surprising. As parents, you might also be seeing the same stress and exhaustion in your own students.  Now is a good time to help students understand that the more we practice a healthy routine, the stronger we get and the stronger we get, the stronger those around us become. Just keep in mind that the strongest predictors of who reaches the end in good shape are those individuals that are confident, are comfortable with themselves, and that exhibit passionate enthusiasm for their work, life and those around them.  I bring this up with you because children learn what they live.  They learn these positive characteristics from the adults that surround them; this includes you, your extended family and the teachers at your schools.  It is difficult to keep up day after day when you feel tired, your children are tired and when domestic life arrives on your doorstep.  Just remember that we are here for you and working every day with you to take care of your children.

COVID is still at the top of the list when it comes to routines, so please help us keep our schools healthy and safe by following the guidelines; wear a mask, stay home if you are sick, physical distance when possible and wash your hands.  All COVID guidelines are on the district website if you need to see the latest information and guidelines.

A BIG thank you to O’Dee Hansen for highlighting our new employees and making it possible for us to welcome them to our district.  Checkout the latest round of introductions at https://nsanpete.org/240-district/frontpage-highlights-tab/1982-new-staff-highlights-september.html  If you see these folks around town, please congratulate them.  We are fortunate to have them as part of our North Sanpete team.

It is Homecoming Week!  Please take extra caution as you attend all the events that are happening to honor our alumni and support our high school.  GO HAWKS!

Take care and enjoy your week,

Nan
