Last Day of School - Believe it or not, the last day of school is here. Students will be dimissed on Friday, May 22 at 11:30 AM. Report cards will be sent home with students. It has been an incredible school year with lots of learning, lots of growth. Students, teachers, and parents have all worked together to make great things happen in the lives of our children. Our efforts on theirbehalf must never stop. Continue to push them this summer so they don't hit that "summer slide". Read about the "Summer Elevator" package below. Have a safe summer full of continued learning and fun. See you on Thursday, August 20!
First Newsletter for SY 2015-2016 - We will email families the first newsletter of the year in the middle of August - about one week before school starts. If you are not receive the newsletter via email, please call the school and update your email address. If you would like a hard copy of the August newsletter sent to you via U.S. Mail, you will need to call the school and request it.
Dance Review - You should have your calendars marked for this Friday, May 15 as this is the day we celebrate our students through dance. Remember that there are two performances - an afternoon performance at 2:00 pm and an evening performance at 6:30 pm. As always, it will be a memorable time for you and your students. Thanks to the students, the teachers, and the many volunteers who made it all happen. All Dance Review voluntary contributions will go towards the purchase of a new swing set in our playground. So, plan on being generous, if you are able.
There will also be a student art exhibit in the school library before and after the Dance Review. Thanks to the participating students and Jason Quinn, our amazing art teacher, for making this possible.
Registration for Next School Year - All parents will need to re-register their students for next school year. A letter will be sent home in the US Mail during the last week of school giving all necessary instructions. Please make sure you read and follow all directions. And be sure to update cell phone numbers, email addresses, emergency contacts, etc. There will be a walk-in registration for all new students on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 18 & 19 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Please let new families who move in this summer know of these registration dates.
Upcoming School Events - Here are the activites going on during the last two weeks of school. Mark your calendars today.

"Summer Elevator Packets" - Researchers have found that the summer break is the number one cause of achievement deficits between students. Fight that "summer slide" by helping your students to get ready to take the "Summer Elevator" to greater heights during the summer break. A Summer Elevator packet of activities - similar to the one sent home last summer - will be coming home during the last week of school. Please use this tool to push your children to continue learning all summer long.
Kindergarten Students for School Year 2015-2016 - The all-important Kindergarten Screening will take place on Thursday, May 21. Families who have a kindergartener pre-registered should be receiving their appointment time in the mail this week. If you know of any child (neighbor or friend) who is eligible for kindergarten next year, please make sure they have pre-registered. Just call the school at 427-9204.
"SAGE Testing - Students in grades 3-6 have finished the Utah State "SAGE" testing. This test is one indicator of their continuing growth and we thank the teachers for all of their hard work in preparing the Thunderbirds so they could "fly high". Mostly, we thank the students for all of their hard work in preparing for this important assessment.
Summer Lunch Program - We are pleased to announce that the North Sanpete School District will once again be offering the Summer Food Program for all children in the Fairview community - age 18 and under. There is no application required - so ALL kids will get to eat free. We will let you know of the days, times, and place when food will be served.
