North Sanpete Online Simple

North Sanpete Online is a remote learning option for students. Parents and students choosing this option for the 2020-2021 school year will be enrolled in their primary school with instruction delivered electronically to your home. Applications for North Sanpete Online will be available starting July 27th and the deadline to complete Is August 14th.

  • Course instruction for grades K-6 will be facilitated by a certified elementary teacher. The teacher will provide Math, Language Arts, Reading, and Science curriculum using Edgenuity Pathblazer Program. Canvas will be the platform used to deliver instruction and correspond online. The facilitator will make contact with students at least once a week.
  • Grades 7-12 will be assigned to a certified teacher to facilitate their course work through Edgenuity. The facilitator will be the point of contact to proctor exams, assign courses, and address concerns.
  • Online math tutors will be available to assist students.
  • High school students will coordinate with a counselor to establish a graduation plan and courses will be recommended to individual students by a school counselor.
  • Counseling will be available to assist students with social and emotional well-being.
  • Student 504 and IEP services will be maintained.
  • Grading and earned credits will follow the school grading policy for each individual school.
  • Attendance will be taken in an alternative way. A facilitator will document attendance through student participation and communication with the student each week.
  • School fees for grades 7-12 will follow the approved fee schedule for each school. Click here to view fee schedules.
  • Elementary students may check out an electronic device from their primary school, if necessary. Secondary students who currently do not have an iPad through our one-to-one program can attend the iPad Distribution dates in August. Click here to see the iPad Distribution schedule.
  • School meals will be available for your student daily at his or her hometown elementary school location. Meal costs can be viewed by clicking here. Free and Reduced Meal Applications are available if your student qualified for reduced-price meals. For more information, please click here.
  • Eligibility requirements for a student participating in any extra-curricular activities will be in effect. Please follow Utah High School Activities Association and North Sanpete High School Student Handbook.
  • A parent's role in North Sanpete Online will be to help facilitate student progress and to act as a Learning Coach for grades K-8. For grades 9-12, the parent still plays a strong supportive role to help the student stay on task to complete assignments. A high school student is expected to start managing his or her own responsibilities for academic success.
  • Parents with secondary students (grades 7-12) that opt for the online learning will need to stay with this option, but will be able to return to in-person instruction at the end of each quarter.  Any extenuating circumstances need to be coordinated with the school principal.
  • Parents with elementary students (grades K-6) that opt for the online learning will need to coordinate re-enrollment to in-person instruction with the school principal.
  • There is not an online option for our Spanish Dual Immersion Program. Students that choose to do the online option will no longer participate in that program.
