We are all so excited to be back in school! We hope everyone had a great summer full of fun, learning and growing. Our teachers have been working hard all summer preparing classrooms, preparing lessons, attending professional development, and collaborating with each other to provide the best learning experience possible for your child. We are excited to see the school year begin. Please thank your child's teacher for all the hard work they did to prepare for this school year!

One big change this year is there are no more Early Out Monday's. School will be dismissed at 2:30 every day of the week. Please make sure to arrange after school rides before your child arrives at school in the morning.

LIBRARY MESSAGE FROM MRS. HANSEN  -  Welcome to Fairview Elementary Library. I just wanted to review our basic library rules and procedures with you so you are aware of what your students are doing. All classes come to library once a week. Kindergarteners do not check out books but are given an opportunity at the end of class each week to look at and enjoy the books in our library. The 1st and 2nd grade classes check out one book at a time. These books stay in their classrooms and don't go home with the students. Students in 3rd-6th grade can check out 2 books at a time and they can take them home if they can keep track of them and take care of them. Books need to be returned each week in order to get new books. If students need books for longer than one week, I will renew them as long as they are not on hold for other students. Students will not be allowed to have more than 2 books checked out at a time, unless their teacher assignes a project requiring extra books, or they need books for battle of the books.

I look forward to another great year and working with your students. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Molly Hansen, Fairview Elementary Librarian, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
