RED RIBBON WEEK - The purpose of red ribbon week is to present a visible commitment to living a safe, healthy, and drug-free life. The campaign is designed to create awareness concerning the problems related to the use of tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs to support the decision to live a drug-free lifestyle.

The PTA has planned a fun week for our students.

•Monday is Backwards Red Day, "Put a STOP to Drugs."

•Tuesday is Crazy hair and Sock Day, "Use your head and don't do drugs." Students will enjoy a tour and demonstration from our local firefighters and EMTs this day.

•Wednesday is Silly Hat and Mustache Day, "I mustache you not to do drugs."

Please take this opportunity to talk to your children about living a safe, healthy, and drug-free life.

12 NOON DISMISSAL ON WEDNESDAY - Please remember that students will be dismissed on Wednesday, November 23 at 12 Noon. Students will enjoy brunch from our amazing cooks this day. This will be an early start to the Thanksgiving Holiday.

VETERANS DAY ASSEMBLY - Our second grade students honored all veterans on Friday, November 11. We were privileged to hear from two of our local veterans. Thank you Superintendent Sam Ray and David Tucker! Students sang songs, played the recorders and recited their parts. They were amazing! Our hearts were touched as we were reminded about the importance of Veterans Day. Thank you to Mr. Segler and Mrs. Sorensen for taking the time to teach the second graders and all of us. The program was a great reminder of how blessed we are to have great American heroes serving our country.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING - As a staff, we are so grateful for the opportunity to work with your beautiful children. They make us smile and laugh everyday. We are thankful that our students are excited to learn and happy to be at school. Their enthusiasm is contagious. We are thankful for parents who support their children in gaining the best education possible. Personally, I am thankful for hard working and dedicated teachers. They put in many extra hours of their own time to prepare engaging and fun lessons, attend meetings, and grade papers. We have the best support staff that assists our teachers and students. They are an essential part of our school. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

who make our souls blossom." Marcel Proust

"Feeling Gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present

and not giving it."  William Arthur Ward
